The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 653 new cases of COVID-19.�
At least 650 new cases have been reported each day this week, with today�s report bringing the state�s total up to 27,900 cases. 1,082 Mississippians have passed away from the virus following this morning�s confirmation of 9 additional deaths.�
Now at 98, the number of active outbreaks in Mississippi long-term care facilities also continues to rise. The number dropped to as low as 76 back on June 22nd.�
Hospitalizations increased for the third straight day, but ICU bed and ventilator usage did decrease.�
As of Monday, 19,388 Mississippians had recovered from COVID-19.�
